"How much does a website cost?"

While there is no easy answer to give a "one size fits all" type of figure, we've come to find out that pricing is a simple function of math: more people working more hours equals more money.

We think it is better to decide what you really need and then lay out the budget for your project. Often times, seeing the details in writing helps you eliminate unrealistic expectations and hone in on what is really important.

Sometimes though, you have a particular amount of money in mind, and so in our experience, here is the breakout of what you get for the buck:

Free

  • We build and maintain some websites for free. These are usually nonprofit organizations or family members. We currently have as many of these accounts as we can handle.
  • Do It Yourself (DIY) See Google for a free email account and web space with Page Creator abilities. Even easier: consider a blog.

Hundreds

  • If you have under $500 to spend: Purchase hosting and domain name at a low cost host. Use their tools to make and maintain your own site. After all, how hard can it really be? :)
  • Up to $1,000: Use the above, and add in my consultation. You do the work, I just make suggestions.

Thousands

There a lots of companies producing websites with costs ranging from $1000 to tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars. Basically, the more complex and custom your needs are, the more it will cost.

Not Available

We are not available for professional web site development training.

We reserve the right to refuse to bid on any project that contains content that we are uncomfortable promoting.

If you decide to employ our team on your project, we will ask you for 1/3 of the fee at the start of work, 1/3 of the fee at an agreed-upon midphase, and 1/3 of the fee upon launch/completion. Maintenance is then on a scheduled or as-needed basis.

Maintenance Plans

  • Do It Yourself (DIY) Use Contribute with any of my designs and you can change your site content as much as you want. Several areas like the navigation will be special code that you cannot (and really should not) access from Contribute software, so you may still need me occasionally. But the bulk of the content is up to you.
  • Professional Updating If you'd rather not mess with your site, I have lots of experience doing site maintenance quickly and effectively. Many of my clients rely on my updates and are very satisfied with the price as well as the result. We'll figure out together what is best for you and set an annual budget based on what you'll need.

Outsource to Us

  • We work for larger corporations on a temporary or as needed basis. If you need coding of your design or require a reliable company to handle your larger site's updates, we can come on board and up to speed quickly to help you out without you having to add us to your payroll. If your webmaster just quit, use our services until you fill your in-house position.
  • We've had experience taking design house layouts and converting them into websites. If you're working with a marketing firm that is drawing your website but they do not have a developer, we can code their design into a website for you.
