The Process

The more requirements, text, graphics, audio, etc. that you can have ready at the start of the project, the lower the overall project cost will be for you. However, we are happy to help you develop them as needed. With Brian's business, project and requirements background he would be excited to help you put together a requirements document as a phase 1 effort. Then we can use it to build your site or you can take it to other web developers for a competitive bid, if you feel or we suggest, that others may be more qualified based on the requirements.

We use a variety of tools to help you organize your information. The first form we will ask you to fill out is the Web Site Needs Evaluation. We take your answers from this to understand your business needs, develop more questions for you, and end up with a comprehensive plan for your site.

If you need a server to host your website, we are happy to provide you with an unbiased recommendation of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) based on your needs. We can help you identify one or more domain names for your organization if you do not already have one. Here's some reasons for having your own domain.

We work with what your organization has already developed on and off-line to put together a website that makes sense for your goals, requirements, budget and schedule. We will provide you with alternatives if the ideal solution has significant cost or schedule implications.

You want your target market to visit your website and to come back on a regular basis. Careful planning and regular updates can make your website successful. You can send us the updates or do them yourself using Macromedia Contribute, which we can provide and train you on.

Our focus is not on developing a flashy website, but instead on making your business successful. If we feel that your organization would benefit more from a non-web-based solution to satisfy your requirements, we would suggest it.

Promotion of your website is essential, both on and off-line. Your site should be integrated with your other marketing efforts. We stay up to date with what search engines look for in order to rank high on user searches and will determine what directories and advertising channels are most useful for your market. We think about your website details: from developing a promotional strategy down to proposing which meta tags to use.

For no additional charge, we monitor all our clients' servers throughout the day via a periodically refreshed control panel to ensure your site is up and working for you. If we notice they are not, we'll send you or your web site host an email notice regarding it.
